661 KT&G Sangsang Madang Busan Signs MOU with Busan Cultural Foundation for Cultural and Artistic Development 2024.04.04
KT&G Sangsang Madang Busan has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Busan Cultural Foundation on the 3rd, aimed at the development of local culture and art and the enhancement of citizens' cultural enjoyment.

The MOU ceremony was held at the Gamman Creative Culture Village of the Busan Cultural Foundation, attended by Shim Young-Ah, KT&G's Director of ESG Management, and Lee Mi-Yeon, CEO of the Busan Cultural Foundation, among other officials.

Through this agreement, KT&G Sangsang Madang Busan and the Busan Cultural Foundation will cooperate on projects and activities initiated by both organizations and work towards supporting young artists for the development of local culture and arts. KT&G Sangsang Madang Busan will provide support with its performance and seminar spaces, equipment, and online/offline promotions, while the Busan Cultural Foundation plans to support programming and artist activities utilizing the space of KT&G Sangsang Madang Busan.

Shim Young-Ah, Director of ESG Management at KT&G, expressed, "Through collaboration with the Busan Cultural Foundation, we anticipate that the artists discovered by KT&G Sangsang Madang will have broader activities and further growth. We will make further efforts so that KT&G Sangsang Madang Busan can emerge as a leading cultural and arts platform in the region, taking this collaboration with Busan's representative cultural and arts institution as an opportunity."

Meanwhile, KT&G Sangsang Madang is a multi-cultural art space that supports the creative activities of emerging artists and provides the public with a wide range of cultural experiences. Since launching "Sangsang Madang Hongdae" in 2007, it operates in five locations, including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan, contributing to the expansion of cultural arts and regional cultural development. Sangsang Madang welcomes approximately 3 million visitors annually, with over 3,000 cultural and artistic programs operated each year.
