KT&G Corporation (CEO Baek Bok-In) is inviting applications for its "2024 Sangsang Live Practice Room," an initiative dedicated to discovering and supporting emerging musicians. The application period is open until February 18th.

Launched in 2020 by KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan, the "Sangsang Live Practice Room" is a cultural and arts program that has discovered and supported 55 artist teams to date. It offers a range of benefits essential for up-and-coming musicians, including performance opportunities, professional profile photo shoots, and the production of live clip videos.

This call for applications is open to any musician with at least three original songs. Applications can be submitted through the KT&G Sangsangmadang website (https://www.sangsangmadang.com).

After a document review and live performance evaluation, six selected teams will compete in a final performance held at the KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan Live Hall on April 7th. The final ranking will be determined through audience votes and expert panel evaluations. The selected teams will receive various benefits, including opportunities to perform at "Sangsangmadang Hongdae" and "Sangsangmadang Chuncheon," profile photos, live clip videos, and support funds. The top winning team will also earn the opportunity to perform on stage at the Busan International Rock Festival.

A representative from KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan stated, "The '2024 Sangsang Live Practice Room' has expanded its support to include musicians active nationwide to discover more emerging talents. Sangsangmadang will continue steadfastly supporting talented, lesser-known musicians to showcase their skills to the public."

KT&G Sangsangmadang is a multi-cultural and artistic space that supports the creative activities of emerging artists and offers diverse cultural experiences to the public. Since launching "Sangsangmadang Hongdae" in 2007, it has operated in five locations, including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan. It contributes to the expansion of cultural arts and regional cultural development. Sangsangmadang attracts approximately 3 million visitors annually and hosts over 3,000 cultural and artistic programs every year.
