On the 16th of this month, KT&G Welfare Foundation held the "2023 Social Welfare Institution Vehicle Delivery Ceremony" at the Seokgwan Silver Welfare Center in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, where they donated 100 compact cars to social welfare institutions nationwide.



KT&G Welfare Foundation has been providing compact cars annually to support the smooth operation of local social welfare institutions. Considering the narrow streets in many welfare beneficiary areas, they have offered high-mobility compact cars. As of this year, the total number of vehicles delivered to social welfare institutions nationwide has reached 2,200.

Every year, the Foundation selects recipient institutions through an open competition. This year, over 900 social welfare institutions participated in the competition. After evaluating necessity, effectiveness, and suitability criteria, the Foundation ultimately selected 100 institutions for priority support.



A representative from KT&G Welfare Foundation stated, "For two decades, we have been supporting local social welfare institutions that work tirelessly in challenging environments by providing compact cars. We hope the vehicles we provide will be preciously used in local social welfare activities."



Meanwhile, KT&G Welfare Foundation, established by KT&G in 2003 to communicate with local communities and fulfill corporate social responsibility, operates welfare centers in eight regions. They provide close-knit welfare services, offer cultural and economic support to low-income groups, and actively contribute to improving the infrastructure of welfare institutions while practicing sharing with their less fortunate neighbors and local communities.
