KT&G Scholarship, Foundation hosting a Ballet Master Class Camp for gifted ballet dancers 2022.08.09
KT&G Scholarship Foundation hosted the Ballet Master Class Camp from August 4 to August 7 to offer differentiated opportunities and stage experiences for cultural and art students who received the ballet scholarship.

The Ballet Master Class Camp was held this time at KT&G Sangsang-madang Chuncheon with the participation of about 40 people, including instructors and cultural arts scholarship students, who were selected this year by the KT&G Scholarship Foundation. Top-class dancers from Korea and other countries participated as instructors, including Kim In-hee, president of the World Ballet Teachers Association, and Olivier Lucea, a senior instructor at Princess Grace Academy.

The scholarship students who participated received choreography instructions during the camp and participated in programs such as individual mentoring and taking a profile photo. On the last night of the camp, the participants put on a showcase stage to display their efforts, which marked the end of the program. In addition to the advanced instructions, including the Ballet Master Class Camp, scholarship students receive a scholarship of 5 million won per person per year.

An official at the Foundation said, “We expect scholarship students to gain various experiences and improve their talents through the camp, which is an experiential program. We will continue to provide special support with interests in various art genres so that more talented students can realize their dreams.”

KT&G Scholarship Foundation is a public interest organization established in 2008 by KT&G to practice its management philosophy of “a company which works together”. The Foundation is involved in various scholarship programs in South Korea and other countries to help students in difficult socioeconomic circumstances not give up on their education. In particular, KT&G has offered scholarships through the cultural arts scholarship project for young talents since 2016 to enable them to grow into artists, active on the domestic and international stage. The total amount of scholarships which have been offered since the establishment of the Foundation until last year is 37.5 billion won.
