Until August 2, KT&G is inviting musicians to participate in “Band Discovery” which discovers and supports rookie musicians.

Band Discovery’ has discovered and supported unknown talents sponsored by KT&G for culture and art development purpose since 2013.

All the June Korean tour concert tickets of the Grand Prize winner of 2013 program, ‘Sson Apple’ were sold out upon as soon as the doors were opened. ‘MAAN’, the winner of 2014 and “57” of 2015, are getting popular showing off their live singing skills.

Anyone who has put out their first album only or who has not released regular albums may apply. Applications will be completed by introducing the band and registering videos or music files on the website (sangsang.ktng.com).

Six bands will be selected through the first screening process by professional musicians and internet voting. The final three bands will be selected through a final competition concert to be held at KT&G Sangsang Madang live hall on September 4.

Shortlisted three teams will be awarded 11 million won. Free lease coupon of the Sangsang Madang live hall and live studio recording will also be given. In addition, those teams will be provided the opportunity to perform at “2016 Sangsang Realization Festival” to be held at KT&G Sangsang Madang in Chuncheon city in October.
