KT&G Provides Music Therapy for Soldiers
- KT&G donates stereo system equivalent of KRW 150 million to 50 Green Camps and military hospitals. 

 

KT&G (CEO: Bok-in Baek) supports emotional healing of army soldiers.

 

On November 5th, KT&G held a donation ceremony to deliver stereo system equivalent of KRW 150 million at Army Headquarters located in Kyeryong City, Chungnam Province. Both Bok-in Bae, CEO of KT&G, and Joonkyu Jang, Army Chief of Staff, attended the ceremony.

 

The stereo system will be delivered to 34 Green Camps, places run by the Ministry of National Defense for solders experiencing maladjustment, and 16 military hospitals, as well, to be used for solders in Green Camp program or inpatients in military hospital with music therapy.

 

The person with KT&G said, I regret maladjustment provokes accidents in the military which may depress the morale and cause social unrest. I wish, via physiotherapy, those soldiers could be honorably discharged from the military service after fully serving for the nation.”

 

Prior to this donation, KT&G also provided 50 stereo systems to juvenile detention centers, the center for juvenile delinquency prevention, and independent living center for the youth, in order to support the youth in institutional care in accordance with the Crime Prevention Bureau of the Ministry of Justice.

 

KT&G has provided military-related supports including ‘Love of Country – Veteran’s Nest’ program, which renovates the house of veterans’ of the Korean War, visiting train program with Korean Forces Network, and suicide prevention program in the military as a way of ‘Sustainable Management’, one of the cores of KT&G management philosophy.
