KT&G Volunteers to Improve Lagging Region with College Students
- Activities for brighter world such as wall painting or lighting establishments conducted more than twice a year 

KT&G will conduct nation-wide ‘Paint with Imagination’ volunteer activity with college students to improve the living environment of the lagging region and crime-ridden area.

‘Paint with Imagination’ is a unique volunteer program provided by KT&G, which provides clean and safe streets, in cooperation with the local government, by painting walls in lagging regions, building flower ways on small alleys, and installing lighting on the ground or walls in crime-ridden area.

A total of 1,500 volunteers made of KT&G College Student Volunteer Group ‘Sangsang Volunteer’ and other students will be participating in the nation-wide volunteer work until September. From 2016 on, this volunteer work will be continuously conducted by over 3,000 students more than twice a year.

An official with KT&G said, “We hope our continuous volunteer work for living environment improvement will contribute to make the local community a better place to live. KT&G will keep conducting a variety of activities for the local community.”

‘KT&G Sangsang Volunteer’ is a student volunteer group and the student members bring up a subject for volunteer work and also conduct volunteer work. The group has provided living environment improvement for the unprivileged, a family sports day for the disabled, environment protection campaign, and wall painting since 2011 and the accumulated number of volunteers amount to 5,600.
