Singer Young-nam Cho donated two works or art including ‘Republic of Korea, National Flag’ to KT&G Sangsang Madang Chuncheon in memory of the 70th anniversary of independence day. Youngjin Min, president of KT&G attended the ceremony and expressed his gratitude.

‘Republic of Korea, National Flag’ and ‘Flower from Far East’ will be exhibited at the art center of KT&G Sangsang Madang Chuncheon.

Youngnam Cho said, “During my visit to KT&G Sangsang Madang for free performance last year, I was impressed that the place provides culture and art activities for the local community and am donating my work of arts today. Just like the lyrics of my song Hwagae Market Place, I will actively participate to make Sangsang Madang a ‘all present and correct’ place.

Youngjin Min, president of KT&G replied with gratitude, “The work of art ‘Republic of Korea, National Flag’ reminds us of the 70-year history of Korea which made a miracle on the ruins after the Korean War. The priceless opportunity of experiencing the history via a cultural work of art will contribute to making a precious future”.

The relationship of Youngnam Cho and KT&G Sangsang Madang Chuncheon started last year. Cho performed at ‘Spring and Fall Sympathy’ concert held at KT&G Chuncheon Sangsang Madang for free which drew about 3,000 audience last fall.

KT&G Sangsang Madang Chuncheon was built to provide culture and art experience opportunity for local community and became a popular place with accumulated number of visitors amounting to 250,000 within the one-year period since opening.
