On March 31 at COEX, Samsung-dong in Seoul, KT&G received the “2015 Korea HRD Grand Prize” for education facilities.

The “Korea HRD Grand Prize”, hosted by Korea HRD Association since 1993, was introduced in order to discover good human resource development cases and create excellent education programs. This prize is the most renowned prize in the sector. It is awarded to companies, educational institutions, public institutions, and HRD instructors that has contributed to the development/expansion of HRD and improved the status of HRD professionals.

KT&G has supported its employees’ career development by offering diverse education programs on its modern education facilities. KT&G has thus promoted the importance of human resource development, and was therefore selected as the winner of the prize. KT&G was also praised for not only providing simple skills education, but also fostering change and innovation, its core values, by putting into practice its three missions – value-sharing, change and innovation, learning stimulation.

In Daejun, Suanbo, Gangwha, and Kyung-Ju, KT&G is operating four education centers that can host more than 26 thousand people a year. Each center has accommodations and various convenience facilities asides from education facilities, so that the employees could learn in the optimal environment.
