KT&G Opens Architectural Culture Class, ‘House You Want to Live in, Space You Want to Stay in’

KT&G(CEO: Young-jin Min) opens architectural culture class season II to deliver the stories of house and space of contemporary architects at KT&G Sangsang Madang in Chuncheon City between March 10 and April 28.

The class, initiated by KT&G and Culture Foundation of Chuncheon City, was popular and the continuous request for another class led to start class season II which provides participants to discuss on ‘building my own house’ as well as the basic understanding of architecture.

Professor Insok Park of Myungji University starts the class with ‘building my own house in the republic of apartments’. The class is made of eight lectures including ‘building small Korean-style house with a carpenter’ by In-beom Hwang, CEO of Seoul Korean-style House, ‘house for possession, house for existence’ by Nam-ho Cho, a professional architect of wood. The lecturers will deliver his or her own philosophy and hidden stories of architecture during each class session.

Anyone who is interested in building a house or architecture may participate in the class on a first come, first served basis by March 10. You can find detailed information at http://chuncheon.sangsangmadang.com.

KT&G said, “We hope the class may narrow the gap between the dream for celebrity architect’s house and realization of the dream. KT&G Sangsang Madang will continuously provide space for various culture for active communication with local society”.
