KT&G(CEO: Mr. Min Young-jin) will conduct ‘2014 KT&G Sangsang Fund Sharing of Love’ to deliver wintering products equivalent to about 300 million won to low-income families all over the country until the end of December.
 
The event that KT&G managing staffs and college student volunteer groups by region participate to deliver directly wintering products including briquette, winter underwear, and electric mats to each family is done by commands of eight institutions including KT&G Youngju factory. KT&G has conducted the activities to donate wintering products to the poor before the end of year for 11 years, since 2004.
 
The fund for purchasing items was made by the ‘Sangsang Fund’, a voluntary donation funding by KT&G managing staffs. The ‘Sangsang Fund’ was KT&G’s original social contribution fund consisting of donations by the managing staffs and the identical amount added by the company. 99.9% of the managing staffs participate in the fund and this year’s amount is about 30 billion won.
 
Mr. Ji Hoy-seok, KT&G’s head of social contribution department, “Because the donation was prepared by our managing staffs and employees delivered the items directly with their efforts and time, joy and meaning of sharing became bigger. We hope the donated wintering items will make poor neighbors spend a warm winter.”
