2024.05.10
KT&G Sangsang Madang Hongdae is inviting young artists to apply for its '2024 Sangsang Do Dream' program, which provides free exhibition space for cultural and artistic creative activities, until the 15th of this month.
This program is open to anyone regardless of age, gender, or whether they are applying individually or as a group. Prospective participants can submit their project proposals via the official email (gallery@ssmadang.co.kr) by the 15th. Final selections will be announced at the end of May after a review of applications and interviews. The selected artist(s) or team(s) will receive free rental of the Sangsang Madang Hongdae Lounge space, including costs related to the exhibition and promotion.
The 'Do Dream' program supports unique cultural and artistic activities without constraints on genre or format, offering young artists the freedom to realize and present their artistic visions, while providing the public with fresh and diverse cultural experiences.
Jeong-yoon Kim, head of the Exhibition Department at KT&G's Cultural Contribution Division, stated, "Through 'Do Dream,' we hope young artists will enjoy their artistic creation and effectively communicate with the public. We will continue to expand the artistic horizons of artists and provide cultural experiences for the public through various programs."
Meanwhile, KT&G Sangsang Madang supports the creative activities of emerging artists and offers extensive cultural experiences to the public. Since its inception at Sangsang Madang Hongdae in 2007, it has expanded to five locations including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan, contributing to the expansion of the cultural base and regional cultural development. Sangsang Madang attracts approximately 3 million visitors annually, hosting over 3,000 cultural and artistic programs each year.
