KT&G (President Baek Bok-in) is recruiting for the 17th cohort of 'Sangsang Friends', the university student management team responsible for planning and operating various programs of 'Sangsang Univ', a comprehensive community for college students.

The recruitment will run from January 3rd to 29th on the Sangsang Univ website (www.sangsanguniv.com) and is open to all college students nationwide, including those on a leave of absence. Following document review and interviews, 165 finalists will be selected to serve as the '17th Sangsang Friends' from March to September next year, representing Sangsang Univ for a period of seven months.

The selected 'Sangsang Friends' will plan and manage various projects, including 'Local Week', a program for regional college students to interact and communicate, and 'Share Week', which considers local characteristics for volunteering and eco-friendly initiatives. All 'Sangsang Friends' members will receive a monthly stipend for their activities and professional training necessary for program planning and operation. Outstanding performers will also receive additional scholarships and opportunities for overseas volunteer work.

Lee Si-hyeong, Head of KT&G Univ Operations, stated, "Sangsang Friends serve as collegiate communicators, transforming students' rich imaginations into reality and facilitating communication and interaction among local university students. Sangsang Univ will continue to support them in uncovering new possibilities through diverse experiences and exchanges."

Sangsang Univ' is a comprehensive university community initiative by KT&G, operational since 2010, aimed at providing college students with a variety of experiences and learning opportunities. To date, it has garnered over a million participants. Through flagship programs like 'Marketing School', 'Sangsang Blue Pavilion', and 'Sangsang Village Festival', it offers a platform for university students nationwide to grow and engage.
