2023.10.26
The KT&G Scholarship Foundation is launching the 'Social Innovation Idea Contest,' targeting college students nationwide to unearth innovative talents with creative solutions.
Now in its third year, the 'Social Innovation Idea Contest' program is dedicated to identifying and fostering innovative talents concerned with and contemplating various societal issues such as climate change, youth challenges, and community affairs.
Applications for this contest are open until November 5th, inviting teams of 2 to 4 college students. Any idea about resolving societal issues, be it a project, product, or service, is welcome. Detailed information can be found on the KT&G Scholarship Foundation website (scholarship.ktngtogether.com).
Teams selected through a document review by experts in relevant fields will be awarded scholarships and certificates. Moreover, they will be provided with opportunities for education to refine their ideas, mentoring from established entrepreneurs, and incubating chances such as intensive workshops. Subsequently, the seven teams participating in the final presentation will be recognized with awards, including the grand prize, best idea, and excellence awards.
Ahn Hong-pil, the Secretary-General of the KT&G Scholarship Foundation, commented, "We eagerly anticipate the innovative ideas and profound interest of college students towards resolving societal issues." He added, "The foundation will continue its endeavors to ensure young talents contribute to societal problem-solving through varied support, including identifying and cultivating innovative talents."
