KT&G (CEO Baek Bok-in) is promoting the ‘2030 Busan World Expo’ by putting cheering stickers to 885 sales vehicles nationwide, raising its promotional activities.
KT&G plans to actively promote the Busan World Expo by running sales vehicles with cheering stickers until November, when the balloting for the host of the World Expo is decided in 14 regions across the country, along with Busan.
In the month prior, KT&G made its participation in the bid by placing publicity items for the Busan World Expo at domestic and overseas company locations and running establishments.
Within South Korea, promotional videos are screened at 115 sales organizations nationwide, as well as cultural art spaces, such as Sangsang Madang in Hongdae, Chuncheon, Nonsan, Daechi, Busan, and ‘KT&G Sangsang Planet’, a youth entrepreneurship help area located in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. Additionally, Busan’s representative character ‘Boogie’ has been displayed.
In addition, overseas efforts include running promotional contents, such as videos and banners in ‘Unive Zone’, a youth support space operated in Indonesia, to create an environment that attracts the Busan World Expo. Furthermore, KT&G plans to enhance its publicity campaigns by utilizing numerous overseas bases, such as overseas businesses and Korean language schools running in Indonesia and Kazakhstan.
KT&G is committed to providing support for the Busan World Expo until the venue is chosen, such as holding numerous recreations at the cultural and arts festival ‘Festival Siot’ to be held at the Sangsangmadang Busan in October.
An official from KT&G said, “The World Expo is one of the three main international events and presenting; it is expected to bring numerous positive economic outcomes, such as revitalizing the local economy and creating job opportunities.” The company will spare no effort in its support for public relations to help Busan thrive forward.”
