KT&G SangSangmadang, collecting entries for ‘The 15th Great Short Film Festival’ 2023.06.22
KT&G (CEO Baek Bok In) is publicly collecting entries for ‘The 15th Great Short Film Festival' until this coming July 9.

The Great Short Film Festival, which started in 2007, is a cultural contribution program that is carried out by KT&G SangSangmadang to discover and support leading short films in Korea.

Films subject to collection are short films under 20 minutes that have been newly created after September 1, 2022, and those who want to participate can send their films through the KT&G SangSangmadang homepage ( www.sangsangmadang.com ).

Films selected after evaluation will be shown at the film festival opening at the KT&G SangSangmadang cinema from September 7 to 12. Among them, seven works, including the Gold and Silver Awards, Director Award, Actor Award, and Audience Award, will be on the podium after audience evaluation and expert judges, and a total of 17 million won in prize money and trophies will be awarded to the winners.

KT&G officials said, “Great Short Film Festivals have contributed to expanding the base of domestic independent films, and have become a gateway for new film directors and actors,” and added, “We hope that this festival will be a festive place where both audiences and filmmakers can enjoy.”

Meanwhile, KT&G SangSangmadang is supporting the creative activities of emerging artists and provides a wide range of cultural experiences to the public. Beginning with 'SangSangmadang Hongdae' in 2007, SangSangmadang was introduced in Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi-dong, and Busan one after another, and it has grown into a complex cultural and artistic space with 1.8 million annual visitors and 3,000 cultural and artistic programs every year.
