KT&G (CEO, Bang Kyung-man) SangSang Madang has launched a
contest for the “Independent Culture Planner Support Project” to support the
creative work of cultural content planners, in celebration of its 20th
anniversary.
KT&G SangSang Madang is a well-established cultural space that
connects artists and the public through KT&G’s continuous support,
providing creative opportunities for creators from diverse cultural
backgrounds. This project is designed to support the creative activities of
independent cultural content planners and to foster new cultural experiences
through the fusion of different genres, while celebrating SangSang Madang's
20th anniversary.
The “Independent Cultural Content Planner Support Project” targets
a wide range of genres, including visual art, music, dance, crafts, and others.
The contest is open until June 30, with registration and project details
available on the official SangSang Madang website (www.sangsangmadang.com).
An expert panel will evaluate submissions based on the criteria of
project applicability, originality, and feasibility. Finalists will receive
various benefits including cash prizes, exhibition space, and production
support.
A KT&G official stated, “This project is the third initiative
commemorating SangSang Madang's 20th anniversary, following the ‘Debut Support
Project’ and the ‘AI-based Art Support Project.’ KT&G will continue its
support initiatives to broaden cultural engagement and the development of the
arts.”
Meanwhile, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, KT&G
SangSang Madang continues to operate a wide range of cultural programs aimed at
supporting the creative activities of emerging artists. Since its launch as an
online community in 2005, SangSang Madang has expanded into five offline
multi-cultural spaces in Hongdae, Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan. Through
various initiatives—including support for emerging artists and contributions to
the development of local arts and culture—it strives to broaden public access
to cultural experiences. KT&G SangSang Madang attracts around 3.2 million
visitors annually and hosts over 3,000 artistic and cultural programs every
year.
