Sangsang Madang Hongdae, in collaboration with Colley Co., is hosting a pop-up
store featuring the popular character “Qwakcheol” until March 23.
Qwakcheol
is a duck character known for its witty gestures and expressive eyes, which has
gained popularity on social media. With its cheerful take on black humor that
satirizes reality, the character has caught the attention of young audiences
and has collaborated with various domestic brands.
The
pop-up store, themed “Qwakcheol Blooming Day,” is being held at KT&G
Sangsang Madang Hongdae’s Design Square. Visitors can explore a total of 111
products, including over 60 newly launched items such as fabric goods, figures,
and home decor.
An
official from KT&G Sangsang Madang Hongdae said, “KT&G Sangsang Madang
operates various programs to provide visitors with new cultural experiences. We
hope this pop-up store will offer consumers the opportunity to discover a
diverse range of youthful and creative characters.”
KT&G Sangsang Madang serves as a multifaceted cultural and artistic space, supporting the creative activities of emerging artists while offering diverse cultural experiences to the public. Since opening its first venue, Sangsang Madang Hongdae, in 2007, it has expanded to five locations, including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan, contributing to the expansion of cultural arts and regional development. KT&G Sangsang Madang attracts around 3.1 million visitors annually and hosts over 3,000 cultural and artistic programs every year.
