The Sangsang Festival is a multidisciplinary cultural arts
festival first launched by KT&G in 2012 to expand cultural arts engagement
and revitalize local culture. The event has solidified its reputation as an
iconic cultural festival within the local community, offering a unique blend of
live music and diverse cultural programs. Each session has sold out immediately
upon ticket release.
Shim Yeong-ah, Head of the KT&G ESG Management Bureau, stated,
“This year’s festival marks the 20th anniversary of Sangsang Madang, and we
have prepared it as a token of appreciation to everyone who has been with us on
this journey. We look forward to your active support, as we’re offering a
diverse lineup featuring both renowned musicians and rising artists.”
KT&G Sangsang Madang serves as a multifaceted cultural and
artistic space, supporting the creative activities of emerging artists while
offering diverse cultural experiences to the public. Since the launch of its
first location in Hongdae in 2007, the platform has expanded to five locations,
including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan, contributing to the development
of regional culture and the broadening of cultural and artistic
engagement. KT&G Sangsang Madang attracts around 3.1 million visitors
annually and hosts over 3,000 cultural and artistic programs every year.
