KT&G Delivers Gifts to Congratulate Employees’ Children Entering Elementary, Middle, and High School 2025.02.28

KT&G has delivered congratulatory gifts, along with a message card from the CEO, to 487 employees’ children entering elementary, middle, and high school.

As part of its family-friendly program, “Gahwa Mansaseong,” KT&G has been holding this annual event to celebrate the school entrance of employees’ children. This year, the company gifted JungKwanJang’s “Hongi Janggun” and
"I-Pass" red ginseng products, as well as "MaryRuth’s" liquid vitamin supplements.

“Gahwa Mansaseong,” meaning "A harmonious family leads to the success of the company" is KT&G’s family-friendly initiative launched in 2017 to help employees achieve work-life balance. It runs year-round under three main themes—celebration, encouragement, and care—benefiting not only employees but also their families.

In addition, since 2015, KT&G has implemented the "Automatic Parental Leave Program," which allows employees to smoothly transition from maternity leave to parental leave for up to two years. The company also provides employees with institutional support for infertility treatments and childcare assistance, ensuring a stable family environment in an era of declining birth rates.

Other family-friendly initiatives include a "PC Shutdown Policy" to encourage timely work departures, "Refresh Leave" granted every five years, and on-site daycare centers for employees’ children.

Due to its proactive and exemplary implementation of family-friendly policies, KT&G was recognized as an “Excellent Family-friendly Company” in 2018, receiving a Prime Minister’s Commendation. The company was first certified as a "Family-friendly Enterprise" by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2015 and has successfully renewed its certification in 2020 and 2023.

A KT&G representative stated, “Through initiatives like 'Gahwa Mansaseong,' we have been committed to helping our employees achieve a balanced life between work and family. Moving forward, we will continue fostering a corporate culture where not just employees, but their families, can thrive together.”
