KT&G
(CEO Min Young-jin) is recruiting a “Dream Crew” of university students to plan
the “Sangsang (Imagination) Realization Festivals” until August 18.
The “Dream Crew” is to participate
in the planning stage of the Sangsang Realization Festivals to be held this coming
November, and to organize the whole festival process together, such as
performing activities, as operational staffers on the day of the event. Prior
to organizing the event, the crew is to develop the required capabilities through
education and field training linked to a specialized performing arts agency.
Entry is open to all university students who are
interested in planning performing arts and festivals. All they have to do is to
fill out the applications and submit them on the website (www.sangsanguniv.com). Ten students
will be selected through document screening and interviews, and they will be
provided with a sum of money to cover activity-related expenses and meals at every
regular meeting, and issued with certificates of participation after the
activities have ended.
The “Sangsang Realization Festival,” which marks its second
anniversary, this year is a combined cultural festival organized by rookies selected
for the three areas of bands, photography, and short films, together with older
artists, and is a program that is aimed at discovering amateur artists with
limited opportunities to perform on the stage and assisting them in realizing
their imaginations.
A KT&G official said, “The ‘Dream Crew’ is not a mere volunteer group, but provides opportunities to
experience performances in general, such as planning, hands-on practice, and
operation,” adding that “we
hope university students who dream of planning cultural and performing arts
will become other protagonists who realize their imaginations through these
activities.”
