KT&G wins two categories at the ‘17th Korea Communication Awards.’

KT&G (CEO Kyung-man Bang) was awarded the first prize in the food and distribution company category for both 'Best in Social Media' and 'Best in Internet Communication' at the '17th Korea Communication Awards.'
The Korea Communication Awards, hosted by the Korea Internet Communication Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, is the most prestigious communication and marketing awards ceremony in the digital field in Korea. Approximately 400 companies and public institutions are evaluated based on their SNS channel operations, content, and communication marketing effectiveness through customer panel reviews and expert verifications.
At the '17th Korea Communication Awards,' KT&G was highly praised for its SNS channel operations that strengthened two-way communication and empathy, as well as its competitive empathetic content using characters and employees.
The company's main corporate promotion channel, YouTube's , features comedian Lee Su-ji as a new employee, who vividly presents KT&G's business sites in the 'Kejui Theater' and allows employees to share job and employment stories in 'Employment Latte Talk,' receiving high engagement from subscribers.
Additionally, Instagram operates continuous 'meme' and 'challenge' content through the 'Kepro' character, set as an employee of KT&G's Communication Office, resulting in a 45% increase in followers compared to the same month last year.
A KT&G representative stated, "The awards in two categories at the 17th Korea Communication Awards are the result of our focus on differentiated content operation and user-centered interactive communication on our company's SNS channels," and added, "We will continue to strive to activate communication with customers through diverse content."
