KT&G Scholarship Foundation Signs MOU with Police University Educational Promotion Foundation to Foster Talent 2024.07.18
The KT&G Scholarship Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Police University Educational Promotion Foundation on the 17th to support a stable educational environment for future national contributors, the students of the Police University.

The signing ceremony was held at the Police University located in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, with key attendees including Seung-taek Kim, Head of KT&G Sustainability Management Division, Hong-pil Ahn, Secretary-General of the KT&G Scholarship Foundation, Ho-young Lee, President of the Police University, and Doo-yeon Kim, Chairman of the Police University Educational Promotion Foundation.

Under the agreement, the KT&G Scholarship Foundation plans to provide a total of 33 million KRW in scholarships to international students at the Graduate School of Police Studies, fostering talents with global competencies.

Hong-pil Ahn, Secretary-General of the KT&G Scholarship Foundation, stated, "We have promoted this MOU with the Police University Educational Promotion Foundation to cultivate excellent global talents who will contribute to the nation. We will continue to actively foster the next generation of talent at home and abroad through ongoing scholarship support programs."

Founded in 2008, the KT&G Scholarship Foundation conducts various scholarship projects domestically and internationally to support educationally disadvantaged groups and nurture future talents. Additionally, in collaboration with the Korean Mecenat Association, the foundation supports scholarships in the cultural and arts fields annually, contributing to the discovery of talented artists. Since its establishment, the cumulative scholarship support has reached 43.5 billion KRW by the end of last year, with the number of scholarship recipients surpassing 10,000.
