KT&G (CEO Min Young-jin) is to launch a new Tonino
Lamborghini Icetornado, which has realized the highest level of freshness among
the cigarettes currently on the domestic market with its tornado filter.
The tornado filter is a new filter that was jointly researched and
developed by KT&G and Hyundai Filter (an SME). Its distinctive design
feature is that cigarette smoke is rapidly rotated and drawn in fast at the
same time along the groove in the shape of a tornado.
On the front of the pack, cool freshness is expressed by using ice
patterns on a blue ground, while in the back, the image of raging ice, together
with the tornado filter, is displayed to highlight the product features.
KT&G brand manager Kim So-young said, “Since the
launch of the limited version containing three cigarettes fitted with tornado
filters last April, there has been a great consumer demand for this product. That’s
why we have officially released this as a new product,” adding that “we expect it will get extremely
popular with consumers who want strong, fresh flavor this summer.”
Tonino Lamborghini was launched in April last year after cigarette experts
both at home and abroad conducted R&D for three years to take over the
global markets, as well as the domestic market. In the first year of its
launch, it was exported to Hong Kong and Taiwan. Export markets have been expanded
to Russia and the Middle East this year, and currently it is being exported to
11 countries.

has 6.0mg of tar, and 0.5mg of nicotine content. Price: ₩2,700 per pack.
