KT&G Sangsang Madang Chuncheon has unveiled special programs, including the complex cultural festival Sangsang Realization Festival and an archive exhibition, in celebration of its 10th anniversary.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Sangsang Madang Chuncheon, a multi-cultural art space that opened in 2014. It remodeled the Chuncheon Children's Hall and Gangwon Sports Hall into an "Art+Stay" concept where visitors can stay amidst art. Located by the waters of Uiamho, it features a cultural space that enjoys nature, including a performance hall, live studio, gallery, cafe, and guest rooms.

Over the past decade, Sangsang Madang Chuncheon has established itself as a leading cultural space in the region, visited by a total of 3 million people, and has contributed to the development of local culture and arts by operating an average of 430 programs annually. KT&G, which operates Sangsang Madang at five locations nationwide, was awarded the President's commendation at the 2023 Mecenat Awards ceremony hosted by the Korea Mecenat Association last year for its efforts in cultivating cultural artists and regional co-prosperity, following a similar recognition in 2015.

To commemorate these achievements, Sangsang Madang Chuncheon held the special 10th-anniversary program, Sangsang Realization Festival, from the 27th for two days. Performances by top domestic musicians such as Jang Kiha and Jannabi, and indie musicians, totaling 30 teams, were held, with about 16,000 spectators participating. Additionally, Sangsang Madang Chuncheon hosted a flea market in collaboration with local public institutions and invited culturally marginalized groups in the Gangwon region to the festival, adding to the meaning of regional co-prosperity.

The Archive 1() exhibition, reinterpreting the memories of local residents and visitors who have been with Sangsang Madang Chuncheon for 10 years, will continue until June 2nd. It features Sangsang Madang Chuncheon's representative programs over the past decade displayed through infographics and projected using projectors, and a music archive where one can listen to soundtracks produced in the live studio is also prepared.
