2024.03.20
KT&G is hosting a painting exhibition titled "Bom Bom Bom," which captures the essence of a vibrant spring forest, at the Sangsang Stay Gallery in Sangsang Madang Chuncheon until May 27th.
This exhibition features 16 paintings by artist Lim Young-Joo, which sensuously depict the peak of spring in the forest. Considering the diverse age groups visiting Sangsang Madang Chuncheon, artworks featuring animals and plants were selected to ensure that the exhibition is easily understandable and enjoyable for all generations. The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Friday each week, and admission is free.
KT&G Sangsang Madang Chuncheon has been reinvented as a space that combines art and accommodation under the concept of ‘Art+Stay,‘ located near the Chuncheon Children's Center and Gangwon Sports Complex. It has become a leading cultural and artistic venue in Chuncheon, equipped with galleries, cafes, live studios, performance halls, and guest rooms. Located by the waterfront of Uiamho Lake, it offers locals and visitors the opportunity to enjoy culture amidst nature.
Kim Jung-Yoon, head of the Exhibition Department at KT&G's Culture Contribution Division, stated, "We organized this exhibition to allow visitors to experience and enjoy the spring season from a fresh perspective through artworks that capture various spring sceneries." He further added, "We hope visitors will also enjoy the beautiful spring landscape of Uiam Lake, which unfolds right in front of Sangsang Madang Chuncheon."
Meanwhile, KT&G Sangsang Madang is a multi-cultural art space that supports the creative activities of emerging artists and provides the public with a wide range of cultural experiences. Since the opening of ‘Sangsang Madang Hongdae‘ in 2007, it operates in five locations including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan, contributing to the expansion of cultural and artistic foundations and regional cultural development. Sangsang Madang welcomes approximately 3 million visitors annually, with over 3,000 cultural and artistic programs operated each year.
