The KT&G Social Welfare Foundation has dispatched approximately 80 members of the college student volunteer group 'Sangsang Withus' to Indonesia and Vietnam, with service activities ongoing until the 19th.

'Sangsang Withus' is a college student volunteer group operated by the KT&G Social Welfare Foundation since 2005, dispatching 1,620 participants over 50 occasions to countries including Cambodia and Myanmar, striving to improve living conditions.

This iteration of Sangsang Withus will be conducting playground creation and mural volunteering at Dong Phu Elementary School in Quang Nam Province, Vietnam. In Indonesia's Bogor region, at Ananda Elementary and Middle School, they plan to engage in educational environment improvement activities such as constructing health rooms and rest areas, mural volunteering, and joint service activities with local college students.

Additionally, the volunteers have planned various programs to donate their talents to local students, including Korean cultural and arts experiences and physical education teaching.

A representative from the KT&G Social Welfare Foundation stated, “For the past 19 years, the Foundation has continuously carried out volunteer activities in countries such as Cambodia and Laos,” and added, “We will continue to unfold various activities that can help the underprivileged, both domestically and internationally.”

Established in 2003, the KT&G Social Welfare Foundation has been actively engaged in domestic and international social contribution activities. In Korea, it has supported approximately 2,200 compact cars to social welfare institutions over 20 years and provided heating costs amounting to about 11 billion won to vulnerable communities. Internationally, the Foundation has contributed to educational environment improvements for local students by establishing an agroforestry education center in Mongolia to prevent desertification and renovating Ananda in Indonesia and Nguyen Tan Elementary Schools in Vietnam.
