KT&G (president Baek Bok-in) organized the 'Growth Track IR Pitching Day' on the 3rd of the month at KT&G Sangsang Planet, a space devoted to youth startups in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. This event was organized to support the 7th batch of startups taking part in the Sangsang Startup Camp program in order to match investors.

The 'Growth Track IR Pitching Day' was organized to provide tangible results in value enhancement and investment matching for the startups from the 'Sangsang Startup Camp.' 

During the event, the five participating companies had the opportunity to present their businesses and achievements, both of which were assessed by an expert panel.

Following the presentations, a 'Meetup' event was held, allowing startups, venture capitalists, social venture stakeholders, as well as representatives from KT&G and KGC's new business departments, to engage in open communication. In this meetup, the goal was to foster connections where young entrepreneurs would be able to find funding for their business ideas.

Lee Sang-hak, Head of the Sustainable Management Division at KT&G (vice president), stated that "Given the challenges startups are facing due to the global economic slowdown and other factors, we are seeking multiple forms of support to ensure sustainable growth momentum." He further stated, " We will make every effort to activate the social venture ecosystem and provide substantial support for the growth of innovative startups."

Since 2017, KT&G has been running the 'Sangsang Startup Camp' to nurture young entrepreneurs seeking to address social issues through business ventures. As of today, 144 startup teams have been produced, generating approximately 40 billion KRW in sales and creating employment for 831 individuals.
