In an effort to assist the underprivileged, KT&G, under the leadership of President Baek Bok-in, has undertaken a volunteer initiative to distribute food at Warm Chaeumteo, a free dining facility in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

Approximately 20 executives and employees, including President Baek Bok-in, participated actively in the volunteer work, assisting the cafeteria workers, and distributing rice and side dishes to assist vulnerable individuals, including the elderly living in solitary conditions and the homeless.

KT&G has been actively supporting the Warm Chaeumteo since 2018, aiming to enhance the quality of life and nutritional intake of vulnerable individuals. The company has accumulated donations amounting to 386 million won and has provided assistance to 100,000 individuals. In addition to this, KT&G donated a Hope meal truck in 2017 to go visit to directly visit various regions, offering meals to individuals in need. In addition to their participation at Warm Chaeumteo, KT&G demonstrates a proactive commitment by having numerous executives and employees assist with food distribution regularly at 'St. Mary's House' in Dong-gu, Daejeon. The company also extends its support to cover the operational expenses of the facility.

President Baek Bok-in of KT&G stated, "During this unusually hot summer, I hope that the meals prepared with utmost sincerity by our executives and employees can provide some comfort and strength to our neighbors facing challenges due to the heat." He further added, "We will continue to support the socially underprivileged, fostering hope and unity among community members."

In 2022, the company was once again honored with the Presidential Commendation, this time in the youth employment promotion sector. This accolade acknowledges KT&G's diligent endeavors in supporting job creation through initiatives such as the operation of "Sangsang Planet," a platform for youth start-ups, and "Sangsang Startup Camp," a program dedicated to the development of social ventures.
