The KT&G Welfare Foundation is to carry out volunteer
work on May 11 called “Dream in Painting” with more than 200 university student
volunteers that involves painting murals on decrepit school fences.
This event will be held in Sukseonongju-ro, Muk-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul.
Art major college students will make rough sketches on the outer walls and
fences, followed by other volunteers who will paint over them.
An official with KT&G Welfare Foundation said, “we have conducted these activities of painting murals for a total of
35 schools since 2005 to provide pleasant learning environments to the students
and to give the local residents an aesthetic sense of stability.”
The KT&G Welfare Foundation
is a social welfare foundation established in 2003 by KT&G to develop the
expertise related to social welfare service. It has been practicing “Love
through Sharing” by offering social welfare services tailored to the needs of
the local community, such as providing the social welfare agencies with compact
cars and holding joint weddings for multicultural families.
