The KT&G Welfare Foundation held a "Delivery Ceremony for the Project to Support Vehicles to Social Welfare Institutions, 2021" at Euni Nursing Home located in Yongin-si on 19th and provided 150 compact vehicles to social welfare institutions across the country.

The KT&G Welfare Foundation has been supporting economical and high-mobility compact vehicles every year since 2004, according to the opinion of the field that light vehicles that can be operated in narrow alleys are needed due to the characteristics of welfare-beneficiary areas. So far this year, 1950 vehicles in total have been delivered to social welfare organizations across the country.

A total of 800 social welfare institutions nationwide, including general social welfare centers, a rehabilitation center for the disabled, general welfare centers for the elderly, and community child center, etc., participated in the vehicle support contest held in June. After a thorough review, the KT&G Welfare Foundation finally selected 150 organizations that were deemed to need support on a preferential basis.

An official from the KT&G Welfare Foundation said, "I hope that the compact vehicles support project that has been running for 18 years can help social workers who are volunteering in poor conditions." He also said, “We will continue our active support to share love within the local community and create a friendly society.”

Meanwhile, KT&G Welfare Foundation was established in 2003 to communicate with the local community and fulfill corporate social responsibility. It provides welfare services closely related to the local community through eight welfare centers across the country. They are actively participating in solving social problems by sharing with neighbors and local communities in difficulties, such as low-income, underprivileged classes and social welfare facilities.
