KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae, Recruiting Musicians for its Music Patronage Project

KT&G (President: Baek Bok-in) is openly recruiting musicians to participate in its ‘2021 KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae Music Patronage Project’ until June 21st, and the recruitment is aimed at rookie and experienced musicians and music labels in general.
There are four categories subject to the competition; first, musicians who have three or more self-composed songs that can be searched for online can apply for the 'Band Discovery' section, and the final two teams will be selected. The prize includes 2 million won for each team, support for single album production costs, and joint performances with established musicians.
As for the ‘Sangsang Funding Concert’ section for experienced musicians, those who wish to hold a solo concert through their own crowdfunding may apply, and they should have at least one mini album and some type of performance history. Two teams will be selected, and those selected teams will be provided with monetary support equivalent to 100% of the raised amount and will also be given the opportunity to use the KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae Live Hall for free.
Musicians who wish to hold their first solo concert with at least one mini album and some type of performance history may apply for the ‘My First Concert’ section. Lastly, music labels may apply for the 'Label Day' category and six music labels with at least three teams will be selected. They will be given the opportunity to use the KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae Live Hall for free, and the cost of filming live performances will be covered.
