KT&G (CEO Min Young-jin) on February 27 released the
Tonino Lamborghini New Taste 3.0 version with a milder flavor affected by an enhanced
filter function.
The distinctive feature of the Tonino Lamborghini New
Taste 3.0 version is that it has reduced the level of throat irritation with a
newly fitted 17mm super carbon filter. For this filter, a super-active carbon
that performs an excellent function of filtering irritant substances with a surface
area wider than the ordinary active carbon has been used.
Following the launch of the Tonino Lamborghini,
jointly developed last year with an Italian company, in the domestic market for
the first time in the world, KT&G released a third version that was tailored
to the needs of domestic consumers following the global version developed prior
to its full-scale entry into overseas markets.
A KT&G official said, “The Tonino Lamborghini currently being
exported to 14 countries overseas was very well received at a cigarette fair
held in Germany and the duty-free goods fair held in Cannes, France last year,”
mentioning that “the 3.0 version, which uses a new
filter, is expected to receive a more favorable response from the domestic
consumers who prefer mild, high-tar products.”
KT&G will also launch a limited volume of 80,000
sets of a special edition produced in celebration of the launch of the Tonino Lamborghini
New Taste 3.0 version. The special edition is composed of one special pack with
a luxurious case that feels like titanium into which 14 cigarettes are manually
inserted, and one pack of the Tonino Lamborghini New Taste 3.0 version.

New Taste 3.0 version has a tar content of 6.0mg, and the nicotine content is
0.6mg. The price is ₩2,700 per
pack, and the selling price of the special edition is ₩5,000
per set.
