The KT&G Welfare Foundation will send out 60 volunteers of 30 undergraduate volunteer groups each to Cambodia and Myanmar.

Siem Reap Province, Cambodia and the suburbs of Yangon, Myanmar, where university volunteer groups are dispatched, have poor educational environments. Since 2005, the KT&G Welfare Foundation has dispatched 1,390 undergraduate volunteers in 48 teams to improve the educational environment.

The College Student Volunteer Corps plans to build a library and paint buildings at an elementary school outside Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, and visit a temple school in Yangon, Myanmar, to improve the educational environment, such as building water purification facilities and toilets. In addition, the College Student Volunteer Corps conducts talent donation activities to local students through various programs such as health hygiene and artistic education.

A KT & G Welfare Foundation official said, “KT&G Welfare Foundation has been volunteering for ASEAN countries with relatively poor living conditions such as Cambodia for 16 years since 2005.”. "In the future, as a representative social contribution company, we will continue to carry out various projects that can benefit the underprivileged without restricting the region at home and abroad."

Meanwhile, the KT&G Welfare Foundation is actively engaged in social contribution activities in various countries. In 2017, a forestry education center was established to prevent desertification in Mongolia. Last year, it completed the construction of elementary schools in rural Vietnam. This year, we are trying to improve the poor educational and health environment by establishing a health center in Vietnam.
