KT&G (CEO Baek Bok In) will recruit the '2019 KT&G Sangsangmadang Creative Character Contest' until September 29th to select characters representing 'KT&G Sangsangmadang', a multi-cultural art space.

This competition was planned to select popular and intimate characters that symbolize KT&G Sangsangmadang and use them in various cultural and art support projects such as music, movies and exhibitions.

Anyone who is 14 years of age or older can participate in the competition. Participants can participate individually or as a group and can submit any number of entries. However, entries must comply with relevant laws such as copyright law and must be pure creations that have no entry history before other competitions. After the competition is closed, four final character winners will be announced in October. The prize winners will be awarded a total of 4 million won; for the grand prize (1 team), 2 million won, the first prize (1 team), 1 million won, and the excellent prize (2 teams) for 500,000 won each.

KT&G Sangsang Madang will select some of the works won in the competition and enter into a contract for the transfer of intellectual property with the artist, and will pay a separate transfer price for the contract. In addition, it plans various projects such as directing space using the winning works and producing character products.

In addition, if additional design is needed for future character utilization projects, we plan to support the artists to continue their activities, such as giving them the opportunity to participate in the design.
