To celebrate the 12th anniversary of opening of Sangsangmadang, KT&G (CEO Baek Bok In) will hold special lectures on relays with various cultural and art experts in KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae on September 7 (Sat) and 8 (Sun).
These special lectures, called “We are Playing like This” has celebrated its 4th year and has provided a place where cultural and art experts such as painters, poets, and art directors share their values with the public. This year, under the theme of ‘A Day of OO’, special lectures will be held on the daily life, creative process, and know-how of various artists active in the cultural arts.
On September 7, Song Won Joon, CEO of ‘AROUND’, a lifestyle magazine, introduces his life as a magazine company leader, and Kim Hyun Min, a film journalist, talks about life of seeing, writing, and telling what he likes. Then, on September 8, Kim Ye Ji, author of 'I'm doing cleaning?' introduces her own way of working as a cleaner and illustrator, and hip-hop musician Jerry K(Kim Jin Il) and music columnist Bluc (Park Joon Woo) will hold special lectures representing musicians and critics.
This year marks the 12th anniversary of the opening of KT&G Sangsangmadang and the lectures will be held at no cost so that anyone can attend without burden. Anyone can apply for each special course on KT & G Sangsangmadang homepage (www.sangsangmadang.com) and it will be closed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ji Hyo Seok, Director of Cultural Contribution of KT&G, said, “This special lecture is designed to provide the public with an opportunity to discover artistic sensibility and new hobbies.” and added “We will continue to make efforts to develop the culture and art ecosystem with various special lectures.”
