KT&G(CEO Baek Bok-in) will be recruiting participants for the “2019 Surround” from August 5th to 25th, which will provide performance opportunities for the leap of career musicians.

‘Surround’ which is the fourth in this year, is a unique music support project introduced by KT&G to help musicians continue their activities, considering the fact that most of the musician support programs in Korea are focused on newcomers.

KT&G's 'Surround' means that Sangsangmadang and musicians surround the world with music. Starting in 2014 with Choi Go-eun, Nunco Band and Go Go Boys, Danpyunsun and the Sailors, SAVINA & DRONES, Seo Samuel and Woo Hyo were selected in 2017 and were consistently supported for music activities from record production to performances.

This year's '2019 Surround' will attempt to change from the support of 'album production' to 'hosting performance' to reflect the recent music trend. The final three teams will be given a joint performance opportunity, and will receive 10 million won per team, including 2 million won for each prize, 5 million won for production, and the total profit after the solo performance.

This program is eligible for any musician who has experience of holding solo performances (more than 200 seats) with more than 10 songs released. To apply, submit an application form, performance video, and proposal through the KT & G Sangsangmadang website (www.sangsangmadang.com).
