KT&G (CEO Bok-in Baek) starts ‘Sangsang Closet’ program to lend interview suits to job seeking students from September on.
Job seeking students may borrow interview suits, ties, belts and even shoes to minimize economic burden from job interview via Sangsang Closet, a CSR (corporate social responsibility) program of KT&G,
The program was prepared by Sangsang fund voluntarily raised by KT&G employees for the program planning and costs for clothes and related expenses. GGIO2 by Kolon FnC, a renowned clothing company, helped to lend quality suits by providing brand new high quality products at lower price than street price.
Sangsang Closet program starts at six local universities including Chungnam National University, Kangwon National University and Keimyung University, which are relatively far from capital region. The program will be expanded nationwide.
A KT&G official said, “We carefully considered practical help to relieve youth unemployment, a social problem, from the point of a view of job seeking students. The company will continue to provide measures for youth job creation to reduce unemployment.
In addition to Sangsang Closet, KT&G also runs career programs for college students, including Sangsang Career Camp, Sangsang Compass Camp and Sangsang Marketing School.
According to a survey conducted by Incruit, a job portal service provider, 85% respondents out of total 1,000 participants expressed economic burden from interview suits and make-up expenses of KRW105,000 on average per interview.
