KT&G (President Bok-in Baek) holds ‘Subway Line No. 1’ Photography Exhibition by Kihoon Roh at KT&G Sangsang Madang Gallery located in Seokyo, Seoul from March 18 until April 22. Roh was nominated the photographer of the year by the 8th KT&G Sangsangmadang Korean Photographer's Fellowship (KT&G SKOPF).

KT&G has supported a total of 30 young photographers to expand their horizon through the help of the company since 2008.

After public contest and screening process conducted last year, KT&G supported three selected candidates with intensive mentoring and activities for seven months. Roh was nominated as the photographer of year 2015 after open portfolio competition.

20 photos taken by Roh will be on exhibition. Roh, who has lived in Incheon city since 2013, took the photos of the people and scenery while he was walking along subway line no.1 between Incheon Station and Noryangjin Station.

Hyungkeun Oh, professor of Photographic Art Department, Kaywon University of Art and Design, commented, ‘In a flat voice, Roh expressed social scenery which is prone to be sentimental or critical. His photography has its own meaning in that he kept his cool in showing the charateristics of documentary of photographic art.
