Until Mar 26, KT&G is inviting participants for the “S.around Program”, a program supporting experienced musicians, who have been neglected in most aid programs.
“S.around”, which is in its second year, supports musicians to expand their musical horizon through concerts and new album production. This year, the program is designed to support practical musical contents, such as concerts and album productions, so that the musicians could build independent capabilities and thus be able to sustain their activities.
Any musician who has released more than one album (above an EP, a mini album) may apply for the program. Applicants should choose an area between ‘album’ and ‘concert’, and submit an application form with a music or concert plan to KT&G’s Sangsang-madang website(www.sangsangmadang.com).
The selected musicians, for two years, will receive support equivalent to 20 million won - KT&G’s infrastructure such as musical album production, concert halls, recording studios, public relations, as well as the opportunity to participate in domestic/foreign music markets.
The person in charge at KT&G said, “Since 2007 KT&G has been discovering and systematically supporting promising new musicians. This time, competent musicians who has been left out of support because they were not new, will enjoy an opportunity to grow through the “S.arround Program”.
