KT&G(CEO: Mr. Min Young-jin) will hold three concerts celebrating the release of album from the ‘24th Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest’, ‘Adding and Sharing’ in KT&G Sangsangmadang in Hongdae, Seoul on July 27th, August 3rd, and August 10th, respectively.
The ‘Adding and Sharing’ concert is to celebrate the compilation album for 10 teams who won the 24th Yoo Jae-ha Music contest, to commemorate the late Yoo Jae-ha with musician from the past contests and to encourage the births of new artists. The music contest started in 1989 in order to remember Yoo Jae-ha’s music and to find young singer-songwriter. Yu Hee-yeol, Cho Kyu-chan, and Lee Hancheol are a few names of artists who have passed the contest.
Former winners will include Sweet Sorrow, One More Chance, and Jung Jun-il, and they will participate in colorful performance with 10 winners including Gang Min-ju who was awarded with the grand prix, Lee Seol-a, and Ilsangdabansa. KT&G has continued to run the programs to support talented new artists and to introduce them to the public. This concert was also planned to introduce young new musicians with the alumni of Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest leading Korean Pop Music in the perspective to support cultural diversity.
