KT&G(CEO: Mr. Min Young-jin)’s Sintanjin factory was reborn as the biggest super-slim cigarette factory equipped with cutting-edge facilities after 3years and 5 months’ extension and automatic system establishment construction.

KT&G’s Sintanjin Factory maximized its production efficiency by extending its previous production size of 35 billion cigarettes per year to 85 billion through extension. Especially, super-slim cigarette production facility was extended to that of 59 billion cigarettes, sufficient for production half of super-slim cigarettes in the world.

In addition, by building ‘flexible production system’ the previous 7 simultaneous production items capacity extended to 25, equipping a system to respond effectively to customers’ various demands. Electric facilities and air-conditioning system were also improved for raising energy effectiveness and confortable work environment was made, as well.

KT&G Sintanjin factory was built in the biggest scale in East Asia in 1964 in the middle of the first economic development plan. For last 50 years, the factory has contributed to satisfy the domestic demands and to make foreign money.

Currently, the factory is now a base of KT&G’s exportation to produce 65 kinds of cigarettes including Esse, and Bohem Cigar MINI as well as products for the domestic sales. KT&G exported 37% of the total sales, 32 billion cigarettes as of last year to abroad. Among them. ‘Esse’ is the most sold super-slim cigarette, which one of three super-slim cigarette smokers in the world prefers.

The CEO of KT&G, Mr. Min Young-jin said that “KT&G already supplies the best quality products to customers through the ‘comprehensive quality control system’ consisting of total 42 processes from renovating tabaco seeds to distribution of products.
