(CEO Min Young-jin) held on December 23 an awards ceremony for the “Fourth Creativity
Contest for Imagination Realization” at the Seoul office in Daechi-dong, and
presented certificates of commendation and cash prizes to the prizewinners for
each sector.
A total of 301 works were entered and in this public
contest and were translated into feasible ideas through mutual communication
between participants and netizen and experts from the application stage to the
final screening, and finally, a total of 18 teams were selected through
strictly impartial screening by experts in the related fields.
The grand prize for the event promotion planning sector
went to the “Things to Do Today” team, which entered “Let’s Plant Flowers Today”;
for the smoking manners campaign sector, to the “Serotonin” team, which submitted
“The Annals of Smoking in Joseon”; and for the paper advertising sector, to the
“Just Imagine” team, which presented “Nursing Dreams.” The award-winning teams were
given total cash prizes worth ₩22.2 million,
including ₩3 million for the grand prize.
A KT&G official said, “The most distinctive feature of this contest is that
participants were able to get feedback on their works in direct contact with
the judges and to correct them,” adding that “in the future, we plan to hold such contests on a continuing basis so
contenders can realize their imaginations through a differentiated process.”
