KT&G (CEO Bang Kyung-man) received the Grand Prize—the Korea Exchange Chairman’s Award—at the 2026 Korea IR Awards hosted by the Korea Investor Relations Service at KRX Market Square in Yeouido, Seoul, on September 18. The Korea Investor Relations Service, an organization affiliated with the Korea Exchange, has recognized companies for outstanding investor relations every year since 2001. The awards honor companies that contribute to capital market development through active and effective investor relations activities and shareholder value-oriented management. KT&G received the Grand Prize in recognition of its “open IR culture.” At regular and ad hoc IR events, members of management directly present the company’s global business strategies, shareholder return policies, and growth investment plans. The company also incorporates investor feedback into the formulation and implementation of its management policies. In addition, KT&G executives meet directly with major institutional investors in Korea and abroad through conferences, non-deal roadshows, and ad hoc meetings, while providing corporate information transparently. The company’s proactive approach to shareholder returns and investor relations has also helped it build a reputation among market participants and investors as a predictable and trustworthy company. A KT&G official stated, “Recent share purchases by global investment firms reflect the capital market’s confidence in our growth prospects and recognition of the company’s future value, backed by our excellent shareholder return policy. We will actively pursue stronger dividend returns based on the solid profits generated by our core businesses and further enhance shareholder value.”
