Human Rights Management
KT&G has established a human rights management policy based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and other standards. We manage human rights risks through a governance structure comprising the Sustainability Management Committee, ESG Management Council, ESG Management Office, and working-level councils, and conduct annual human rights impact assessments across all domestic and overseas business sites. Areas identified as requiring improvement are managed as action items, and we plan to gradually expand the scope of management to subsidiaries and suppliers.
