Following the declaration of support for the TCFD in 2020, KT&G has proactively identified the potential impacts of climate change on the company and is strengthening its execution capacity to implement the group-wide low-carbon transition as part of its environmental management vision, “2030 Green Impact.” KT&G is committed to contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases by working in alignment with the Paris Agreement, which aims to keep the global average temperature increase significantly below 2°C, striving to limit it to 1.5°C. To achieve this goal, KT&G actively collaborates with various initiatives, partner companies, governments, and related organizations.

In 2024, KT&G updated its existing TCFD report by referencing the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) standards, and in 2025, KT&G published a separate TNFD report to implement responsible management for the conservation of natural capital and biodiversity. Moving forward, the company will continue to enhance communication with internal and external stakeholders.
