KT&G Starts Corporate Culture Innovation
- ‘Sangsang Realization Committee’ compose of external professionals and internal staffs inaugurated

KT&G (CEO: Bok-in Baek)’s corporate culture innovation steps forward.

KT&G inaugurated ‘Sangsang Realization Committee’ composed of external professionals and internal staffs at KT&G Gangnam Building in Seoul, on October 28th.

The committee will analyze the existing corporate culture and suggest desirable change and alternatives to work as a communication platform encompassing the interior and exterior company.

Bok-in Baek, CEO of KT&G, and Seokcheol Youn, emeritus professor of Seoul National University co-head the committee with total nine committee members of KT&G executives and employees, and external advisory consultants. The committee was named ‘Sangsang Realization Committee’ meaning ‘Let’s make a corporate culture to realize both corporate vision and employees’ dream’.

The committee selected three task for year 2015; 1) work and life balance 2) close relationship to the work-site 3) harmony within the organization in order for people-centered consideration. For efficient communication, intranet and interview will be used as a way of on and/or off line commutation.

In his inaugural address, Bok-in Baek said “The committee will help to build a system to eradicate the remaining injustice and improperness and introduce expansive system to become a more trusted and mature corporation. I will take the initiative and set an example of business scene oriented communication management.”

Seokchul Youn, co-head of the committee, said “I wish KT&G could become a more admired company by the public by creating a desirable organization culture via communication and sympathy. The committee will provide objective and constructive advice to perform an expected role.’
