KT&G President Bang Kyung-man personally visits dosshouses to deliver winter relief kits, fostering a culture of sharing and mutual growth within local communities
KT&G (CEO Bang Kyung-man) has launched its year-end social contribution initiative, the 2025 KT&G SangSang Sharing ON-Jeong program, aimed at helping vulnerable communities stay warm during the winter season. As part of the initiative, Bang visited dosshouses in Donui-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on December 15, where he personally delivered cold-weather relief kits to residents.
The relief kits, prepared through a volunteer packing activity involving KT&G employees, include winter blankets, scarves, and ready-to-eat food items. A total of 400 households in the Donui-dong dosshouse community is scheduled to receive the kits.
KT&G SangSang Sharing ON-Jeong is an annual corporate social contribution program organized by KT&G to promote a culture of sharing during the year-end season. Since November, employees across KT&G headquarters, sales offices, manufacturing facilities, and group affiliates nationwide have participated in donation drives and volunteer activities, extending support to local communities.
This year, KT&G has expanded its support to regions experiencing population decline and to groups particularly vulnerable to the effects of the climate crisis. Through nationwide initiatives, the company plans to distribute approximately 60,000 briquettes, 40,000 kilograms of kimchi, and more than 8,000 kilograms of rice to communities in need.
KT&G CEO Bang Kyung-man stated, “Guided by our management philosophy as a company that grows together, KT&G remains committed to supporting our neighbors so they can feel warmth and care at the end of the year. We will continue to broaden our sharing activities and strengthen cooperation with local communities as a responsible corporate citizen.”
The KT&G SangSang Sharing ON-Jeong program is supported through the company’s voluntary employee donation fund, the SangSang Fund. Established in 2011, the SangSang Fund is KT&G's social contribution initiative, where employees voluntarily donate a portion of their monthly
salary, and the company matches their contributions through a matching grant program. The fund is utilized to support vulnerable communities in and out of Korea and to address urgent social issues.
