KT&G(CEO, Baek Bok In) will accept public contestants for excellent short film festival by August 28.

This year is the 13th year that 'The Great Short Film Festival is held by KT&G Sangsangmadang as a cultural contribution program which finds and supports short films in Korea. Since 2007, it has been open every year to promote the development of domestic independent film ecosystem.

The contest will target short films less than 20 minutes newly produced since June 1, 2018. Contestants can participate through the website of KT&G Sangsangmadang (http://www.sangsangmadang.com). Film screening at the festival will be selected after preliminary screening.

'The 13th Great Short Film Festival' will be held at 'KT&G Sangsangmadang Cinema' from September 4th for the whole week. After the final review during the screening period, KT&G will award Gold Crown and Silver Crown prizes for 4 films and 3 Audience-awards in the short-film competition category to win prize money of 13 million won in total.

'KT & G Sangsangmadang' is a multi cultural arts space operated by KT&G as part of Mecenat activities. Currently, it has grown to the cultural Mecca that hosts about 3,000 cultural arts programs and 1.8 million people visits every year. In 2007, we opened Sangsangmadang in Hongdae, Sangsangmadang in Nonsan and Chuncheon opened afterwards. In 2020, we are opening the Sangsangmadang Busan.
