KT&G Sangsangmadang, Call for Participants for 20th Anniversary Exhibition Support Project 2025.03.25

KT&G Sangsangmadang is accepting applications for its 20th Anniversary Exhibition Support Project until April 28.

The competition focuses on AI-powered artworks and new, previously unreleased works. KT&G Sangsangmadang, known for fostering a unique cultural ecosystem, is launching a new exhibition support initiative to mark its 20th anniversary.

Applicants can submit the required documents, including an application form and portfolio, through the official KT&G Sangsangmadang website. The selection process will be conducted by expert judges from the culture and arts sector, who will choose one final artist or team per category through a first-round portfolio screening and a second-round face-to-face evaluation.

The selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their work at KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae from August 22 to October 19. They will also receive financial support, exhibition space, operational assistance, and promotional resources, including videos and photography services. Winning works in the "AI-Powered Art" category will also be exhibited at Sangsangmadang Daechi Gallery starting in November.

“As we launch this new project in celebration of our 20th anniversary, we hope to see applications from artists who push through the boundaries of artistic expression with their originality,” said Kim Jeong-yoon, KT&G Exhibition Director. “KT&G will continue to support the sustainable growth of the art world through various cultural initiatives.”

KT&G Sangsangmadang serves as a multifaceted cultural and artistic space, supporting the creative activities of emerging artists while offering diverse cultural experiences to the public. Since opening its first venue, Sangsangmadang Hongdae, in 2007, it has expanded to five locations, including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan, contributing to the expansion of cultural arts and regional development. It attracts around 3.1 million visitors annually and hosts more than 3,000 cultural and artistic programs every year.
